5 Shot Near Iowa University Campus

A shooting happened early Sunday morning in downtown Iowa City in the United States. It took place near the University of Iowa campus.

Five people were hurt. Reports say the shooting started during a large fight at around 1:46 a.m.

Three of those hurt were University of Iowa students. Reports say one student is in a serious condition.

Police have not arrested anyone. Reports say officers are trying to find several people linked to the shooting.

Reports say the university sent out a safety alert at 1:51 a.m. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds offered state help for the investigation.
