Activist Arrested Over Benin Coup Claim
Kemi Seba was arrested on April 13 in South Africa. He is accused of supporting a failed coup in Benin in December 2025.
He is also accused of spreading Russian propaganda. South African police are working to send him back to Benin.
Seba opposes French influence in Africa and backs military leaders. He was born in France to Benin parents.
France removed his citizenship two years ago. He has more than 1.5 million social media followers.
