Andreeva Wins First Grand Slam Title at French Open

Mirra Andreeva won her first Grand Slam title on Saturday. She beat Polish qualifier Maja Chwalinska in the French Open final in Paris, France.

The score was 6-3 and 6-2. Andreeva is now the youngest French Open champion since Monica Seles in 1992.

She is also the first Russian woman to win a Grand Slam since Maria Sharapova in 2014. Chwalinska was ranked 114th in the world.

It was her first ever Grand Slam main draw. She was trying to become the first qualifier to win the French Open. But Andreeva won the title instead.
