Anne Hathaway Joins Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder Sequel
Anne Hathaway has joined the cast of a "Days of Thunder" sequel. She will co-star with Tom Cruise.
They announced the sequel on August 29 2026. The announcement took place at Daytona International Speedway in Florida.
Hathaway will play a team owner and engineer. Cruise will return as Cole Trickle.
Trickle is the NASCAR driver from the original film. The sequel comes to theaters on June 2 2028.
Paramount Pictures is producing the film. Jonathan Levine is directing.
Cruise will produce along with Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper. Will Staples wrote the script.
Klear Note — The sequel returns Cruise’s Cole Trickle, the original film’s NASCAR driver.
