Arizona Police Release Ransom Notes in Guthrie Case
Police in Arizona released two ransom notes Friday. The notes relate to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
Guthrie is 84 years old. She is the mother of television news anchor Savannah Guthrie.
She has been missing for nearly six months. The Pima County Sheriff's Department shared the notes to find new leads.
Officials hope the public will recognize unique writing styles in the notes. Reports say the notes were sent to Tucson TV station KOLD-TV.
The first note was addressed to Savannah Guthrie. It demanded millions of dollars in Bitcoin.
The second note said Nancy Guthrie died shortly after being kidnapped. Reports say it may have been a heart-related emergency.
No arrests have been made in the case. Investigators say a suspect was seen on doorbell camera footage.
He reportedly visited the home before the abduction. The family is offering a $1 million reward for information.
