Artemis II Astronauts Photograph Moon's Far Side
On April 6, NASA's Artemis II astronauts flew around the moon's far side. They spent seven hours taking photos there.
They captured an "Earthset" — Earth disappearing from view behind the moon. This was the first time humans saw this view.
They also saw parts of the moon never seen before. They captured images of a rare solar eclipse from the moon. These photos will help plan future moon missions.
Klear Note — Artemis II is NASA's crewed mission around the moon. It prepares for future astronauts to land on the moon's surface.
