Barcelona's Sagrada Familia Reaches Maximum Height
Barcelona's Sagrada Familia basilica in Spain reached its maximum height on Friday. A cross was placed on the Tower of Jesus Christ, the tallest tower.
Workers lifted the cross into position at 11am on Friday. The cross is 17 metres high and made of steel and glass.
The basilica now stands 172.5 metres tall. Work on Antoni Gaudí's church began 144 years ago.
Klear Note — Sagrada Familia is one of the world's most famous churches. Construction started in 1882 and took 144 years to reach full height.
