Belfast Hit by Far-Right Violence After Knife Attack
A Sudanese man was charged over a knife attack in Belfast. The victim suffered serious wounds to the neck and head.
The attack was filmed and shared widely. Far-right activists called for anti-immigration protests in response.
Hundreds of anti-immigrant protesters took to the streets on Tuesday. Masked men burned vehicles and houses and blocked roads.
Belfast police asked people to stay calm as violence grew. Migration-related riots had also hit Northern Ireland last June.
