Blue Origin Rocket Explodes During Test in Florida

Jeff Bezos' space company Blue Origin had a rocket explode on Thursday. The New Glenn rocket blew up during a test at Cape Canaveral in Florida.

No one was hurt. The blast damaged Blue Origin's only launch pad.

It also damaged other equipment at the site. The explosion is a setback for Blue Origin in its race against Elon Musk's SpaceX.

It also puts NASA's moon goals at risk. NASA relies on several rocket companies to reach the moon.

Just one day before the blast NASA gave Blue Origin a $188 million moon base contract. NASA had praised Blue Origin's role in its moon program.
