Bondi Will Not Testify on April 14
Pam Bondi was the United States attorney general. She will not appear for her April 14 testimony before the House oversight committee.
Trump removed Bondi as attorney general on Friday. The testimony was meant to cover the justice department's handling of the Epstein case.
It was also meant to cover the release of Epstein files. Democrats said they may pursue contempt charges if Bondi does not appear.
Klear Note — The Epstein case involved a wealthy financier convicted of sex trafficking. House oversight committees investigate government agencies. Contempt charges are legal penalties for ignoring Congress.
