Category 2 Hurricane Trudy Moves Northwest Toward Mexico

Hurricane Trudy is moving northwest toward Mexico's Pacific coast. An Associated Press report says it moves at 10 miles per hour.

It strengthened to Category 2 on Saturday. A hurricane warning covers the coast Trudy is heading toward.

The warning runs from Manzanillo in Colima to Cabo Corrientes in Jalisco. An earlier update showed sustained winds of 100 miles per hour.

The National Hurricane Center issued that update. The center placed Trudy about 205 miles south-southeast of Cabo Corrientes.

A later Associated Press report gave a different distance. It placed Trudy 175 miles south of Cabo Corrientes.
