Cyprus Court Fines British Father €3,000 After Toddler's Fatal Fall

A court in Cyprus fined British man Joshua Foster €3,000 (£2,500). He pleaded guilty to causing the death of his two-year-old son.

The Paphos District Court did not impose a prison term. The boy fell nearly 12 metres (40 feet) from a fourth-floor window.

The window was at the King Evelthon Beach Hotel in Chlorakas, Cyprus. It happened on July 12.

That was the first day of the family's holiday. Foster thought the window was closed.

He placed his son on the windowsill. He wanted to show him a waterpark view.

Reports say Foster lost control of the boy. The child then fell.
