D4vd Chooses Public Defenders After Legal Team Withdraws
Singer D4vd will now use public defenders. He is 21 years old.
He told a Los Angeles courtroom this on Monday. His previous legal team withdrew from his murder case.
A financial review found him eligible for public defenders. D4vd has pleaded not guilty in the murder case.
The case involves 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. His former attorneys were Blair Berk and Marilyn Bednarski. The next hearing is set for October 19 2026.
Klear Note — Public defenders are government-funded lawyers for defendants who cannot afford private counsel. A not-guilty plea means prosecutors must prove the charge in court.
