Egypt Beats Australia on Penalties for First World Cup Win

Egypt beat Australia 4-2 on penalties at the World Cup. The game ended 1-1 after extra time.

It was Egypt's first ever win in the World Cup knockout stage. The match was played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Mohamed Salah scored his penalty after returning from a leg injury. Egypt will next face either Argentina or Cape Verde. That last 16 match is set for Tuesday in Atlanta.
