Eight Shot in Coney Island on Independence Day
At least eight people were shot in Coney Island, Brooklyn on Independence Day. Four of the victims were children.
Police got reports of the shooting at about 10:37pm on West 31st Street. A 21-year-old woman was shot in the chest and is in a critical condition.
The other seven victims were in a stable condition. They ranged in age from 6 to 37.
A gun was found at the scene. No arrests had been made at the time of early reporting.
