England Doctors Call Off Strike After Pay Offer
Resident doctors in England have called off a planned strike. The government made a new pay offer to stop the walkout.
The offer includes an average 6.6% pay rise. A four-day strike had been set to start at 07:00 on Monday.
It would have lasted until Friday. This would have been the 16th round of strikes since 2023.
Klear Note — England's resident doctors have struck multiple times since 2023 over pay disputes. Strike action disrupts hospital services and patient care across the country.
