EPA Plans to End Climate Gas Rules
The Environmental Protection Agency plans to repeal its endangerment finding. This is the legal framework that lets the agency regulate greenhouse gas emissions.
The finding came from 2009. It said carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases harm human health.
President Trump will join EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin to formalize this change. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt called this the largest deregulation in American history. Climate groups have vowed to fight this rollback.
Klear Note — The 2009 endangerment finding lets EPA regulate greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide. Repealing it would remove EPA's legal power to set emission rules.
