FCC Chair Threatens Broadcaster Licenses
FCC Chair Brendan Carr criticized US broadcasters recently. President Trump called reports about Iran striking US tanker planes fake news.
Carr then threatened to cancel broadcaster spectrum permits. He said they spread false news and lies.
Carr posted about this on social media. He said broadcasters could keep licenses if they corrected course. The FCC approves all US broadcaster licenses.
Klear Note — The FCC controls all US broadcaster licenses and can revoke them. Broadcasters need FCC approval to operate on public airwaves.
