FDA Refuses to Review Moderna Flu Shot
The FDA will not review Moderna's request to license a new flu shot. The vaccine is called mRNA-1010.
The FDA had previously approved the project to move forward. This refusal is part of the Trump administration's moves against vaccines.
Moderna is now asking for a meeting to discuss the refusal. The FDA's decision goes against its earlier support for the project.
Klear Note — mRNA vaccines use genetic instructions to teach bodies to fight disease. The FDA normally reviews new vaccines before allowing use.
