FDA Refuses to Review Moderna Flu Shot

The FDA will not review Moderna's request to license a new flu shot. The vaccine is called mRNA-1010.

The FDA had previously approved the project to move forward. This refusal is part of the Trump administration's moves against vaccines.

Moderna is now asking for a meeting to discuss the refusal. The FDA's decision goes against its earlier support for the project.

Klear Note mRNA vaccines use genetic instructions to teach bodies to fight disease. The FDA normally reviews new vaccines before allowing use.
