FDA Vaccine Chief Prasad Resigns
Vinay Prasad is leaving the Food and Drug Administration. He led vaccine and drug safety reviews at the agency.
Prasad made decisions that caused debate about vaccines and rare disease drugs. He will leave at the end of April.
This is his second time leaving the agency. It happened in less than a year. Food and Drug Administration head Marty Makary told staff by email late Friday.
