Ferrari Unveils Its First Electric Car in Rome
Ferrari has unveiled its first fully electric car. It is called the Luce and was shown in Rome on 25 May 2026.
The Luce has four doors and seats five people. It costs from €550,000 (about $640,000).
Deliveries are due to start in late 2026. The car has four electric motors and over 1,000 hp.
It goes from zero to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. That is faster than Ferrari's petrol-powered cars.
Ferrari designed the Luce to attract younger buyers and Chinese customers. The car took five years to develop.
But the launch has sparked backlash from investors and on social media. Ferrari leaders are also divided over whether buyers want luxury electric cars.
Klear Note — Ferrari makes luxury sports cars known for speed and high prices. Electric cars are becoming more common as countries push for cleaner vehicles.
