FIFA President Gianni Infantino criticized people who have questioned the World Cup. He said they were filled with hate and criticism.

Reports say he posted a long statement on Instagram. It was reportedly 15 pages long.

The post came about a week after the World Cup final. Infantino accused critics of spreading false rumors.

He also said they were too focused on disciplinary rulings. The statement reportedly addressed several issues.

These included US visa rules affecting fans from Iran, Haiti, Senegal and Ivory Coast. It also mentioned a Somali referee who was barred from the tournament.

Infantino also brought up a disciplinary case involving player Balogun and Trump. He told critics to meditate, pray, or watch a football match instead.

He said this was better than spreading hate and false information. Infantino also dismissed concerns about corruption linked to the World Cup.

Reports say he claimed the tournament drew 7 million fans from over 200 countries. He described the event as having 100 percent safety and security.

However reports note his statement did not mention four supporter deaths. Those fans died from suffocation during World Cup celebrations in Mexico City.

His comments came shortly after FIFA said it was investigating an incident. Players from Argentina and Spain reportedly clashed on the pitch after the final.
