Former US Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan Dies at 100
Alan Greenspan has died at age 100. He led the US Federal Reserve for 19 years.
His wife Andrea Mitchell announced he died at home on Monday morning. Greenspan died from complications of Parkinson's disease.
He served under four US presidents. Those presidents were Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. He is also remembered for his 1996 warning about investors' irrational exuberance.
