Justin Fairfax was a former Virginia lieutenant governor. He shot his wife Cerina multiple times.
He then shot himself. The shooting happened during a dispute over their divorce.
A divorce trial was set for Monday. Their children were home at the time.
Their son called 911 for help. Police called it a murder-suicide.
