Four Die During Channel Crossing Attempt
Four people died during a Channel crossing attempt. Strong currents swept them away while boarding a taxi-boat off Boulogne, France.
At least 38 people were rescued during the incident. 37 people are being treated in hospital for injuries.
Around 30 people continued their journeys to the UK after the incident. The prefect of Pas-de-Calais confirmed the details.
Klear Note — The English Channel separates France and the UK. Many migrants attempt dangerous boat crossings to reach Britain. Strong currents and cold water make these crossings deadly.
