Four Men Convicted in Haiti President Murder Plot

Four men from south Florida were found guilty in Miami. They plotted to kill Haiti's president Jovenel Moïse in 2021.

The men hired mercenaries to carry out the killing. These included two dozen former Colombian soldiers.

The target was Moïse's home in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Moïse was shot in his bedroom in July 2021.

His wife Martine was also shot but survived. The trial ran for nine weeks in a Miami federal court. A fifth person linked to the plot still awaits trial.
