French Ship Crosses Strait of Hormuz
A French-owned ship exited the Strait of Hormuz recently. This was the first known transit by a Western European vessel.
It happened since the Iran war began. The strait had been largely closed to Western European ships.
This changed during the conflict. Donald Trump also stated threats to attack Iranian military sites.
Klear Note — The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman. About one-third of world's oil passes through it. Iran controls parts of the strait and can restrict ship traffic.
