Frontier Airlines Plane Hits Person on Denver Runway
A Frontier Airlines plane hit and killed a person on a runway Friday night. It happened at Denver International Airport at about 11:19 pm.
The plane was taking off when it struck the person. This caused an engine fire.
The crew stopped the takeoff and got all passengers off the plane. 12 people had minor injuries.
5 were taken to hospital. The plane was Flight 4345 heading to Los Angeles.
It carried 224 passengers and 7 crew. Reports say the person had broken through a fence and ran onto the runway. The US National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are now looking into what happened.
