Google Loses Final EU Appeal Over Android Fine
Google has lost its final appeal against a large EU antitrust fine. The fine was first given in 2018 for misusing Android's control of the mobile market.
The Court of Justice of the European Union rejected Google's last legal challenge. This ends an eight-year legal battle.
The European Commission first set the fine at €4.34 billion. Google appealed and the EU General Court reduced it to €4.125 billion in 2022.
Google then appealed again to the EU's top court. That court has now upheld the reduced fine.
