Gunmen Attack Israeli Consulate in Istanbul

Gunmen attacked the Israeli consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on Tuesday. Police shot and killed at least one gunman in the fight.

Reports differ on whether the other two attackers were killed or caught. Two police officers were also wounded.

Turkey says the attackers had links to a terror group. The consulate has been empty for two and a half years.

No Israeli diplomats are in Turkey. Israel said it will not be scared off by the attack.

Klear Note Israeli consulates are government offices that represent Israel in other countries. Turkey and Israel have had tense relations for years. Terror attacks on diplomatic buildings happen occasionally worldwide.
