Hall of Fame NBA Coach Don Nelson Dies at 86
Don Nelson died Sunday at age 86. He was a Hall of Fame basketball coach.
He entered the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012. Nelson won three NBA Coach of the Year awards.
He won five championships as a player. He played for the Boston Celtics.
Later he became the second-winningest coach in NBA history. He coached the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks.
He also had a brief stint with the New York Knicks. His influence on basketball lasted decades as both a player and coach.
