Houthis Claim Attacks on Saudi Oil Site and Yemen Port
Yemen's Houthi rebels claimed attacks on Sunday. They targeted a Saudi Aramco oil facility.
The facility is in southwestern Saudi Arabia. They also claimed an attack on Mokha.
Mokha is a Yemeni port on the Red Sea. Yemen's government controls the port.
The Houthis are Iranian-backed rebels based in Yemen. Firefighters put out a fire at the Aramco facility.
This happened early Sunday. Saudi Arabia's Energy Ministry said no one was hurt.
But the Mokha attack caused casualties. Yemen's National Resistance Forces reported at least seven deaths.
They also reported 15 civilian injuries. These attacks could threaten Yemen's 2022 truce. The truce had paused years of civil war.
Klear Note — A truce is an agreement to stop fighting. Yemen’s 2022 truce paused years of civil war.
