Indonesia Bans Social Media for Young Kids
Indonesia started enforcing a social media ban on Saturday. The ban applies to children under 16 years old.
Indonesia announced the ban recently. Leaders said online pornography is a threat to children.
Cyberbullying and internet addiction were also named as concerns. This is the first ban of its kind in Southeast Asia.
A minister warned social media companies there was no room for compromise. Social media companies must now block users under 16.
