Iran Awaits Trump Response to Seven-Day War Proposal

Iran is waiting for President Trump's response to a peace proposal. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced the plan.

He said Iran gave the Trump administration a new proposal. The proposal would reopen the Strait of Hormuz in six days.

Nuclear talks would restart the next day. Iran said these steps depend on US actions.

Iran wants sanctions lifted on its oil exports. Iran wants the war ended everywhere including Lebanon.

Iran also wants some frozen assets released. Separate reports described a wider peace roadmap.

That roadmap included a ceasefire lasting up to 60 days. It also included a phased reopening of the Strait.

No final agreement has been announced yet. Qatar, Pakistan and other countries are helping ease tensions.

Trump called recent talks in New York productive. But he also warned more military action was possible.
