Iran Holds Talks as Israel Hits Lebanon Harder
Top Iranian leaders arrived in Doha, Qatar on Monday for war talks. The group was led by parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Iran says any peace deal must include a stop to fighting in Lebanon. Meanwhile Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered stronger attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Hezbollah is Iran's ally. The Israeli military then struck targets in eastern and southern Lebanon.
Soldiers warned people in 10 villages to leave. Trump gave mixed signals about how much progress had been made.
He said the US and Iran had largely agreed on a deal about the Strait of Hormuz. But he then stepped back from saying a final deal was close. A fourth round of peace talks is set for June 2 to 3 in Washington.
