Iran Rejects US Peace Plan
The US gave Iran a 15-point peace plan. Iran said no on March 25.
Iran issued its own five-point plan instead. A senior Iranian official said Iran will not make a deal with the US.
Iran's plan asks for a halt to killings of its leaders. It also asks for war compensation and sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
A source told Al Jazeera the US plan is unworkable. Iran also launched attacks on Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait on March 25.
Klear Note — The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman. About one-third of world's oil passes through it. Control of this strait is very important to Iran and global energy.
