Iran Strikes Kuwait Airport Killing One Amid US Clashes

Iran launched drone attacks on Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday. One person was killed and more than 60 were hurt.

The US responded by hitting an Iranian military station on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran and the US then accused each other of launching new strikes.

Iran also launched more attacks in the Persian Gulf on Wednesday. These strikes put a fragile ceasefire at risk.

Peace talks between the two countries have also stalled. Kuwait briefly shut its airport before partly reopening it.

Kuwait Airways stopped all flights. But President Trump told the New York Post that Iran's supreme leader is involved in peace talks. Trump said he hopes to meet him.

Klear Note Iran and the US have had tense relations for decades. The Strait of Hormuz is a key shipping route for global oil. Recent ceasefire agreements between the countries have been fragile.
