Iran Threatens New Response After US Keeps Striking Its Sites

The US military stopped two Iranian missiles overnight on Monday. No US troops were hurt.

Kuwait's air defenses also stopped missile and drone attacks on Monday. More attacks were reported near the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they targeted a US base. This was in response to US strikes on Iranian military sites at the weekend.

The US then launched new strikes on Iranian radar stations and drone command centers. The US called these strikes self-defense.

After that Iran's Revolutionary Guards threatened a "completely different" response. Peace talks between the US and Iran are still going.

But hopes for a quick deal are fading as the fighting continues. The two countries have traded strikes on and off since a planned ceasefire began in early April.
