Israel Keeps Striking Lebanon Despite Ceasefire
Israel carried out fresh strikes on southern Lebanon on Friday. At least 7 people were killed overnight near a hospital in the city of Tyre.
The strikes continue despite a ceasefire agreement signed on Wednesday. The Hezbollah militia in Lebanon has rejected the ceasefire. Its leader called the negotiations "absurd, humiliating and insulting." The United Nations is seeking an extra $331.5 million to help people affected by the crisis in Lebanon.
Klear Note — Israel and Hezbollah have fought for months in 2026. A ceasefire was meant to stop the fighting between them.
