Israel Rejects Trump's 15-Point Gaza Plan Over Hamas Disarmament
Israel rejected President Trump's 15-point plan for Gaza. The plan wanted Hamas to disarm.
It also wanted Israeli troops to leave Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel does not accept the plan.
He said Israel's military will not leave Gaza yet. This is because Hamas must first be truly disarmed.
Netanyahu also rejected creating a Palestinian government or state in Gaza. Still he said some parts of the plan were acceptable.
Other parts were not acceptable. Israel remained in talks with the United States.
Last month Trump's Board of Peace announced an agreement. The agreement wanted Hamas to give up weapons.
It also wanted Israeli troops to withdraw from Gaza. Trump had promoted the plan earlier. He called it a step toward lasting peace in the region.
