Israel Resumes Deadly Strikes in Lebanon During June Ceasefire

Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon killed at least one person and injured 11 others on Wednesday, according to reports from The Guardian and France 24. The Israeli military described the attacks as "precision strikes" against Hezbollah and said Israel was responding to what it accused Hezbollah of being a violation of the ceasefire that began in June.

Israel also issued its first evacuation alert in weeks for a southern town, calling on residents of Mansouri to leave. The evacuation call preceded the reported strikes on the area, which forced families to flee.

Another Israeli airstrike hit a cemetery in Tebnine. The bombings were among Israel's deadliest in Lebanon since the June ceasefire began. They took place as US-backed negotiations in Rome sought to end months of cross-border hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah.
