Israel Strikes Lebanon as Iran Warns of New Attacks
Israel launched new strikes in southern Lebanon. The strikes hit the city of Tyre.
Iran had warned it would attack Israel if the Lebanon offensive continued. The strikes came a day after Israel and Iran pulled back from direct conflict.
President Trump said a deal to end the war with Iran could be days away. Trump also said Israel and Iran would leave each other alone for at least a week.
He said this after speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. But Israel's campaign against Hezbollah has slowed US-Iran peace talks.
Klear Note — Hezbollah is a militant group based in Lebanon. Iran backs Hezbollah and has threatened to attack Israel directly if strikes continue.
