Jalen Hurts Expected to Miss Rest of 2026 NFL Season

Jalen Hurts plays quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is expected to miss the rest of the 2026 season.

A source told United Press International on Monday. The reason is blood clots in his lungs.

MSNBC also reported blood clots in his leg. The Eagles and Hurts' agent said he is stable.

He has no major physical limits. Reports say his recovery may take about three months.

NFL.com says Hurts was first ruled out after a calf clot. He was placed on injured reserve on Saturday October 17.

Later testing identified deep-vein thrombosis and clots in both lungs. Fox News reported Hurts played in London after 36 straight hours awake. Deeper testing later revealed the diagnosis.

Klear Note — Blood clots can block blood flow, and lung clots may affect breathing.
