Judge Blocks Trump Moves Against AI Firm

A judge has blocked the US government's actions against AI company Anthropic. Judge Rita Lin granted Anthropic a temporary injunction on Thursday.

She cited First Amendment retaliation as her reason. Anthropic said no to letting the Department of Defense use its Claude AI in autonomous weapons.

The Pentagon then labeled Anthropic a supply chain risk. Defense contractors had to confirm they do not use Claude in military work.

President Trump also ordered all US agencies to stop using Anthropic's products. The case is being heard at the US District Court, Northern District of California.
