Judge Dismisses Trump's $10 Billion Lawsuit

A federal judge in Florida dismissed Trump's $10 billion lawsuit on Monday. The lawsuit targeted The Wall Street Journal.

The newspaper wrote a story about a letter Trump allegedly sent to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003. Epstein was a convicted sex offender who died in prison in 2019.

Trump said the story was false and hurt his name. The judge ruled Trump did not prove the newspaper acted with actual malice. Trump has two weeks to file new arguments to fix his case.

Klear Note Actual malice means a newspaper knowingly printed false information or didn't care if it was true. It's the legal standard for public figures suing for defamation.
