Labor Secretary Resigns Under Investigation

Lori Chavez-DeRemer quit as Labor Secretary on Monday. She was under investigation before she left.

The Labor Department's inspector general was looking into her. Allegations included an affair with a security guard and misuse of taxpayer money for personal travel.

Drinking on the job was also alleged. At least 4 staff members were pushed out during the probe.

Chavez-DeRemer says she is leaving for a private sector job. She is the 3rd cabinet member to leave during Trump's second term. Keith Sonderling will now serve as acting Labor Secretary.
