Latest Houthi Attack on Riyadh Airport Kills 12
Yemen's Houthis attacked King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The attack happened on Saturday.
The attack killed 12 people and injured more than 300. Saudi authorities said the dead included four Saudi citizens.
Two of the dead were Bangladeshi nationals. Others were from the United States, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Sudan.
Some of the injured were in critical condition. Operations at the airport were suspended after the attack.
The Washington Post said the suspension was temporary. Saturday's attack was one of several airport attacks during the past week.
Earlier attacks that week also killed people and damaged a Saudi plane. The Saudi-led coalition called the Houthi attack a “war crime.” The Houthis also accused Saudi Arabia of striking Sanaa airport on Saturday. Reports linked the fighting to a Saudi-backed offensive against the Houthis.
