Massachusetts Judge Declares Mistrial in Lindsay Clancy Trial

A Massachusetts judge declared a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. The jury was deadlocked after days of deliberations.

Michael Desronvil was the only juror who voted guilty. The other jurors voted to acquit Clancy.

Reports say the split was 11 to 1. Desronvil said he did not doubt Clancy's guilt.

He defended his decision not to join the acquittal vote. His representative cited physical evidence and witness testimony.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis offered "asylum" to Desronvil. Desronvil's lawyer said he will not give interviews.

He will not speak publicly about the deliberations. Clancy's defense argued she had postpartum psychosis.

Prosecutors disputed that claim. The district attorney has not decided on a retrial. A hearing is scheduled for September 29, 2026.
