Meningitis Outbreak Kills 2 at UK University

2 people have died in a meningitis outbreak. It happened at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom.

11 more people are seriously ill in hospital. Health leaders found 13 cases in total.

This includes the 2 deaths and 11 seriously ill people. Invasive meningococcal disease causes meningitis and septicaemia. Health leaders gave antibiotics to students in the Canterbury area.
