Mexican Forces Kill Cartel Leader El Mencho
Mexican forces killed El Mencho on Sunday. He led the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, one of Mexico's most wanted drug trafficking groups.
The operation took place in Jalisco. US intelligence supported the Mexican military operation.
A $15 million bounty was on El Mencho. Armed groups set fires to cars and buildings across Mexico after his death. Gunmen blocked highways in more than six Mexican states following the killing.
